OUR ANSWER TO THE CALL OF A NEW ERA

THE INDUSTRY NEEDED SOMEONE TO STEP UP. AND WE DID

In 2014, we noticed a seismic shift in the transmission industry, one that others overlooked until it was too late. Across the country, transmission shops were beginning to close their doors. The reason? A dramatic shortage of skilled, in house transmission builders. But where others saw the end of an era, we saw opportunity.

Shops that didn’t want to shut down had no choice but to pivot. Their solution? Install remanufactured transmissions. Unfortunately, what was available on the market at the time lacked the two things technicians and shop owners depend on most, solid technical support, great customer service, and a reliable warranties.

We knew this model was unsustainable, and we knew we had the experience to do something about it. With over 30 years in the transmission industry and a legacy as a large, well established transmission repair facility, we understood the technology, the challenges, and most importantly, the people behind the wrench. We weren’t just reacting to change, we anticipated it.

That’s why we founded Transmission Exchange Center (TEC), to be more than a transmission provider. We set out to become the leading partner for transmission shops, general automotive repair shops, and fleet operations. Our mission was clear, deliver premium remanufactured transmissions, backed by real technical expertise, reliable diagnostics, superior customer service, and a industry leading no hassle warranty.

Today, TEC isn’t just in the game, we’re helping define its future. We exist because the industry needed someone to step up. And we did.
